GENERAL PROGRAM INFORMATION

CTE programs of study are intentionally designed to build upon a set of knowledge and skills that deepen in content and naturally prepare and progress a student through this learning. Students are required to take courses in the appropriate sequence to ensure successful completion of capstone experiences, such as work-based learning opportunities, and industry certification exams. As students work their way through sequenced courses, students will achieve concentrator and/or completer status allowing students to transition seamlessly into industry and postsecondary.  It is the goal of Cumberland County's CTE program for every CTE student to be a concentrator in at least one program of study they choose to explore during high school.
